The first story, “Love in a Cottage”, is about a young woman who moves to the country to be with her new husband. She is not used to the simple life, and finds it hard to adjust. The second story, “Love and the Law”, is about a woman who is in love with a man who is already married. She has to decide whether to tell his wife about the affair, or to keep it a secret. The third story, “Love and Friendship”, is about two women who are best friends, but one of them is secretly in love with the other. The fourth story, “Love and Money”, is about a woman who is in love with a man who is very wealthy. She is afraid that he will only marry her for her money, and not for love. The fifth and final story, “Love and Hate”, is about a woman who is in love with a man who is also her enemy. She has to decide whether to fight him or to give in to her feelings.
